Explorers Lifelong Learning Institute (ELLI)

The client approached multiple design teams to solve a problem: their logo was too complicated, and their attendance rates were dropping. They were looking for a new modern design identity that could draw in more members. My peers and I met with the client individually and created different concepts based on keywords. Their previous design was a compass inspired by Christopher Columbus.

My design is intentionally based on the concept of a shooting star. Stars are symbols of wishes, promises, and hope. When you're putting yourself out there to learn new things later in life, chasing that guiding star is an adventure. The logo itself is designed to resemble their original compass, combined with the idea of the star and holds its own as a Letter mark.
